The Public Interest Law Awards
Each year, the Alumni Association celebrates alumni who devote their careers to the public good and demonstrate outstanding public service leadership. The recipients of these awards will be honored at the 2015 Public Interest Awards on Thursday, April 23.
To nominate an organization or Chicago-Kent alumnus/a for a public interest award, complete the nomination form.
The Honorable Abraham Lincoln Marovitz Public Interest Law Awards
Given in honor of our esteemed alumnus, The Honorable Abraham Lincoln Marovitz ‘25, who
served as a Senior Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Northern
District of Illinois for almost 40 years. The award includes a stipend
intended to offset the cost of law school loan repayment for alumni who
take lower-paid public interest positions. Alumni working in the public

Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award
The Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award was created to recognize a Chicago-Kent alumnus/a who has demonstrated a strong commitment to pro bono throughout his or her career. Submit a nomination for the Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award here.
Public Interest Partner Award
Established in 2011, the Public Interest Partner Award recognizes
organizations that make outstanding contributions to public interest law
and provide opportunities for Chicago-Kent students to gain meaningful
