"A Brief Overview of the Irish Legal System and Advocacy in Ireland"
Our distinguished guests will give a lecture on the Irish legal system and advocacy in Ireland from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m in the Abraham Marovitz courtroom at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law. The lecture will include a question and answer session and is free to the public.
A "Dining-In" Event
Dining-in is a tradition in Ireland that dates back hundreds of years where apprentice lawyers learn the intricacies of the profession by dining with senior members of the bench and bar (called
"benchers"). We will approximate that experience in Chicago with our distinguished guests and a number of leading members of the Chicago bench and bar. Cocktails will be served at 6:30 p.m., with dinner beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 for students, $100 for judges and government attorneys, and $150 for private attorneys.
