The award carries with it a $10,000 prize.   
Mike Stout, President of the American College of Trial Lawyers, visited Chicago-Kent to personally award the tropies to the 2008 National Champion and Trial Advocacy Teams. 

In 2008, Chicago-Kent advocacy teams accomplished what teams from no other school have ever done -- won the National Trial Competition and the National Moot Court Competition in the same year.
