The New Illinois Rules of Professional Conduct: Earn 2 hrs of Ethics Credit

The new Illinois Rules of Professional Conduct become effective on January 1, 2010.

Significant changes to the old rules have been made in areas such as permissible and required disclosure of confidential information; prohibition of sex with clients; and the appropriate response to inadvertently received documents. For the first time, Illinois has also adopted comments for every rule.

Chicago-Kent Professors Carolyn Shapiro and Vivien Gross will lead a spirited discussion of the new rules and their practical application focusing on real world scenarios.
